Happy Mardi Gras!

We had a low-key Mardi Gras, other than Eli's party.  The kids and I went to a bit of a parade (until it started raining) one night with Brittany and Ellie, Lily rode in a parade at school, and we celebrated in Metairie Mardi Gras day.  Here's a few pics!

Eli's Mardi Gras Birthday Party

It only seemed appropriate for our Mardi Gras baby to have a Mardi Gras party!  It was the easiest party ever, as decorations were as simple as beads, and of course, those are easy to find around here!  We had king cake instead of cupcakes, and plenty of Mardi Gras beads and masks to wear.  Here is the picture that was on his invitation:
