Happy Birthday, Stro!

Strother turns 31 today!  He went back to work Tuesday night, so we don't get to spend the day with him, but he were able to celebrate before he left. I also sent him these pics of Lily today.

About a week before he left, his parents came over for dinner and we had dinner, cake, and brownies to celebrate.

Then, five days before his birthday, a group of friends went to Rock n Bowl to celebrate. It's a bowling alley/concert venue. We had a great time!

We Went on Down...to the Audubon Zoo!

Lily went to the Audubon Zoo for the first time today!  The weather was so perfect!  She paid the most attention to the monkeys, the otters, and the giraffes.

First Crawfish of the Season!

Stro and I recently hosted a crawfish boil at our house; it was so yummy and fun!  We did it at night, which was a little odd, but it still worked. :)

Lily got to stay up a little late and show off her crawling skills for everyone. She's really gotten good at it!

Ready...got my shirt on!

Rainy Day Fun

We have had some super dreary weather lately, so Lily and I have been stuck inside. I've had to get creative about keeping her entertained!

Banging on pots and pans, which she didn't quite get the hang of

Discovery basket (or colander)

Muffin tin discovery basket

Like a true New Orleans girl, she went for the Mardi Gras beads first!

We played peek-a-boo dress up. So every time I peeked out, I had on a different accessory. She giggled a good bit, but then crawled over and just wanted to wear them herself. :)

We discovered she loves balls, so I put some in her basket. These kept her entertained for a while.
