Baby in the Big Easy: February 2016

Happy Mardi Gras!

Lily went to her first Mardi Gras parade this year!

First, Stro and I went with some friends to Endymion while Mom stayed with Lily. It was pretty crowded, but still fun.

On Mardi Gras day, we spent the morning at the Metairie parades with friends. The weather was great, and we were in a grassy area so the kids could play.

Stro's parents rode by, so we got lots of goodies from them.

They gave Lily this little purse with some play jewelry in it, and she spent the rest of the parade playing with it all.

Lily is 18 Months Old!

This month, Lily turned a year and a half! She is a busy, fun, growing little girl! She is curious, cautious, and easy-going.

She is 26 pounds and 31 inches tall. She loves to say "dadada," "nana" (banana), "uh oh," and "that" (as in "what's that?"). She loves to cook in her kitchen and puts everything in those cabinets- keurig cups, beach toys, her play jewelry- literally everything.

She still loves to read, especially with me on the floor, covered with a specific blanket, and her in my lap. She often points to pictures and asks "what's that?" and we name all the objects for her. She loves Max, especially hugging him. He can only take so much before he slips out of her grasp. :)

She enjoys being outside, playing at the park, swinging, and sliding. She loves making towers with her blocks; she concentrates so hard to make the tower stable.
