Playtime!

Lily and I have found some fun new play time activities lately!

First, I made a busy board. I painted the side of a cardboard box and attached different materials for her to touch and pull on. She loves it! 

 

 

 

 

I also gave her colored craft sticks in a Crystal Light container. She loved the noise! 

 

 

I separated by color and asked her to choose her favorites. She picked these two. Little tiger fan. :)

 

 

Next I put pipe cleaners in a colander and she had a blast pulling them all out.

 

 

 

 

I also gave her little pom poms. She liked how they felt and loved dumping them out. 

 

 

 

We've played with beans and rice, but we also recently played with pasta. Fun, but I think she likes the beans best.

Lily is Nine Months Old!

This past Sunday, Lily turned nine months!  On Tuesday, we went to the doctor, and she says Lily looks great!  She's 17 pounds and 26 inches, still very small for her age!  But when you take her height into account, she's in the 75th percentile for weight. So the doctor said she looks great!

She is such a busy little girl!  She is a quick crawler and has really gotten the hang of pulling up. She loves to pull up on the ottoman in the living room and see what treasures she can find. 

She is now eating combo foods cut into small chunks. She loves sweet potato/carrots and apples/pears, both topped with cinnamon. We tried watermelon yesterday and it was a huge hit.

Happy Birthday, Stro!

Strother turns 31 today!  He went back to work Tuesday night, so we don't get to spend the day with him, but he were able to celebrate before he left. I also sent him these pics of Lily today.

 

About a week before he left, his parents came over for dinner and we had dinner, cake, and brownies to celebrate. 

 

Then, five days before his birthday, a group of friends went to Rock n Bowl to celebrate. It's a bowling alley/concert venue. We had a great time!

We Went on Down...to the Audubon Zoo!

Lily went to the Audubon Zoo for the first time today!  The weather was so perfect!  She paid the most attention to the monkeys, the otters, and the giraffes.
