Lily is ONE!

Monday was Lily's first birthday!  It was a super fun day filled with playing, sugar, and swimming!

On Tuesday, we went to the doctor, and Lily weighs 20 pounds and is 27 inches long. Her doctor said she looks great!

She is taking steps on her own, but still prefers to crawl or cruise on the furniture. She loves to pull all the diapers out of the basket, the DVDs and books off the shelves, and the tupperware out of the cabinet.

She has a healthy appetite and has been enjoying baked chicken, turkey meatballs, and lots of veggies!  I made blueberry muffins this week, and she loves them for breakfast. She has also started drinking whole milk; soon I'll make her some smoothies!

Here are some pictures and things she loves to do as a ONE YEAR OLD:

Lily loves:
**watching Max run
**saying "num num" while she eats
**riding on Dad's shoulders
**looking at books

These are from yesterday; I loved her outfit!

We read "Happy Birthday Baby" by Dr. Seuss on the night before her birthday!

When Stro and I went into her room Monday morning, we sang her Happy Birthday while she was still in her crib. After milk and a walk with Max, she got to eat her very first pancake!

She gobbled it up pretty quickly!

Next, we gave out her gifts.  We got her a super cute armchair and a swing for outside.

Then, we went to lunch (this was more me and Stro celebrating that we made it through a year of parenting!), and ran a couple of errands.

After her afternoon nap, she enjoyed her very first cupcake!  She LOVED it!

After that, we dipped her straight into the pool to wash her off!

She swam until dinner, and then we took Max for a walk, then bath time and bed.

She had a great first birthday, and we're looking forward to her party on Saturday!
